- The Home Department notification, issued Friday, takes effect at once with shops and malls closing 8 p.m. outside divisional headquarters and 9 p.m. in those cities throughout the week.
- Hotels and restaurants may serve dinner from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and takeaway and home delivery can continue beyond dining hours.
- Wedding halls and banquets are limited to events between 8 p.m. and midnight, and commissioners with Sindh Police will enforce the new schedule.
- Essential services are exempt, including tandoors, bakeries, milk and dairy shops, pharmacies, laboratories, clinics, hospitals and petrol pumps.
