Sinaloa Operation Seizes Rural Arsenal, Detains Four After CuliacánNavolato Pursuit

  • An interagency team conducting Oct. 11 ground reconnaissance in La Venada, Concordia secured 490 cartridges, tactical clothing, ballistic plates and about two kilograms of a green herb resembling marijuana.
  • Special Operations and the State Preventive Police spotted four armed youths on three motorcycles in Aguaruto, west of Culiacán, triggering a pursuit that ended with their capture in Villa Juárez, Navolato.
  • The pursuit seizures included two AK-47 rifles, an M4-type carbine, an M4-type rifle, a 9 mm Beretta pistol, ten loaded magazines and three motorcycles.
  • All weapons, ammunition, tactical gear and suspected drugs were placed at the disposal of the Federal Public Ministry for further investigation.
  • Authorities said the coordinated operation involved the Army, National Guard, Navy, SSPC, FGR, state prosecutors and the Sinaloa State Police, with inquiries focused on origin and possible criminal links.
