Overview

• Governor Rubén Rocha Moya opened the 2025–2026 school year at Plantel 37 “Genaro Estrada Félix” and inaugurated the rehabilitated campus in Mazatlán.
• More than 18.6 million pesos delivered four classrooms, administrative offices, a computer center, a library, an upgraded science lab, a metal canopy, air conditioning, an electrical substation, and a renewed civic plaza.
• COBAES reported that the upgraded facilities will benefit roughly 550 students at the site.
• The state infrastructure agency ISIFE carried out the works during 2022–2024 as part of an ongoing education buildout.
• Officials highlighted COBAES’ 127-campus network with about 32,000 students and referenced the Benito Juárez scholarship program, as the governor also noted development prospects in Mazatlán such as a planned HomePort and a possible easing of a U.S. travel warning.
