Overview
- Publishers and developers announced on Wednesday that SiN: Reloaded will launch on September 24, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and 4, Xbox Series and One, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
- The remaster is optimized on Nightdive’s KEX Engine and adds HD textures and models, support for up to 4K resolution at 144 FPS, anti-aliasing, improved maps, and modernized control schemes and user interface.
- The release bundles the original 1998 SiN and the Wages of SiN mission pack, includes new achievements, higher-resolution audio mixes, and a fan 'vault' of archival, behind-the-scenes material.
- Nintendo Life reports that the Switch version can be digitally upgraded to a Switch 2 edition at no extra cost, a publisher-provided upgrade path noted in coverage of the announcement.
- SiN helped push the Quake II era engine with wide interactivity and branching level design, and Nightdive’s remastering work aims to preserve those design elements while making the game accessible to modern players.
