- Truck flows are throttled at Austria’s Kufstein-Nord with block controls limiting 250–300 heavy vehicles per hour and the Dutch A12 will close on three consecutive weekends from August 15 to September 1, each causing up to 60 minutes of extra travel time under signed detours.
- With all German states on break and about 1,200 active construction sites, ACE and ADAC predict one of the worst jam periods ever and urge motorists to travel off-peak, work from home or strictly follow official detours.
