After a three-day hearing, former world No. 1 tennis player Simona Halep remains hopeful of overturning her four-year doping suspension.

Simona Halep recently concluded a three-day appeal hearing at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to challenge her four-year doping ban.
The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) had suspended Halep in 2022 for testing positive for roxadustat, a banned substance, during the US Open.
Halep maintains her innocence, attributing the positive test to contaminated nutritional supplements, and expresses confidence in returning to professional tennis soon.
The CAS has yet to announce a specific date for the final decision, leaving Halep and her supporters in suspense.
If upheld, the ban could potentially end the two-time Grand Slam champion's career, as she will turn 35 before it expires in October 2026.
