Siggi's Dairy Offers $10,000 for One-Month Smartphone Detox

Participants must submit an essay on the need for a digital detox in their life, with ten winners to be selected by February 15.

Siggi’s Dairy, a New York-based company known for its Icelandic-style yogurt, is offering $10,000 to people who are willing to stay off smartphones for a month as part of the Siggi’s Digital Detox Program.
To enter the contest, participants must be 18 years of age or older by Jan. 31, 2024, and submit a 100-500 word essay explaining why they need a digital detox in their life and how it will impact them in a positive way.
If selected, the participant will receive a prize of $10,000, a lockbox for their smartphone, a flip phone, a prepaid SIM card good for one month and a three-month supply of Siggi’s yogurt.
The company will select 10 potential winners by Feb. 15 and send the digital detox materials to them.
The average person spends 5.4 hours on their phones each day, according to a study cited by the company.
