Overview

• On July 3, the State Investigation Agency carried out targeted searches at two premises in Bijbehara, Anantnag district, under the jurisdiction of the Bijbehara police station.
• The case is registered under FIR No. 87/2024 for the April 17, 2024 killing of non-local vendor Raja Sah, citing IPC Section 302, Arms Act 7/27, and UAPA sections 13, 16, and 20.
• Officials said the meticulously planned operations were executed with legal oversight and have yielded significant evidence expected to strengthen prosecution efforts.
• Investigators intend to use the newly uncovered materials to unravel the conspiracy, identify accomplices and dismantle the terror module linked to the case.
• These searches mark the latest phase of a broader counterterror campaign across Kashmir that has targeted suspected sleeper cells since May 2025.
