Shuji Utsumi Takes Helm as SEGA's New Western Boss

Veteran of PlayStation and Dreamcast, Utsumi brings extensive industry experience to SEGA's Western markets.

Shuji Utsumi, a veteran of the video game industry, has been appointed as the President/COO and CEO of SEGA America and Europe.
Utsumi has had a significant career, including founding Sony Computer Entertainment and launching the PlayStation in North America.
He also helped launch the SEGA Dreamcast outside of Japan and has been the executive producer of dozens of SEGA’s largest hits over the last two decades.
Utsumi was key in bridging the gap between Disney and Square Enix to establish the Kingdom Hearts franchise.
SEGA has an exciting slate of games to look forward to, including new entries in the Jet Set Radio, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Shinobi and Crazy Taxi series.
