The film's screenplay will be written by Robert Horn, who also wrote the book for the musical, with music and lyrics from the musical's team of Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally.
Jason Michael Berman and Jordan Moldo will be producing on behalf of Mandalay Pictures, along with Alan Fox.
No cast members have been revealed for the movie yet.
In addition to the film, 'Shucked' will also be launching a North American tour this fall, with future productions planned in London and Australia.
