• Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were picked in the ODI squad for the three-match series, their first internationals since the Champions Trophy and their only active format.
• Chief selector Ajit Agarkar called replacing Rohit a tough call, cited the impracticality of three different captains, and declined to commit on Rohit and Kohli’s 2027 World Cup availability.
• Suryakumar Yadav will captain the T20Is with Shubman Gill as vice-captain, and Asia Cup standout Abhishek Sharma features in the T20 squad.

• The tour opens with ODIs on October 19 in Perth, October 23 in Adelaide and October 25 in Sydney, followed by five T20Is through November 8.
