- He was received at the airport by Russian Ambassador Gennady Bezdetko and senior officials from Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security.
- Planned talks include sessions with Communist Party General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Public Security Minister Luong Tam Quang and Defense Minister Phan Van Giang.
- The agenda spans regional security, trade and scientific-technical ties, plus cooperation against narcotics trafficking, organized crime and extremism, including work between financial intelligence units, the Interior Ministry, the Justice Ministry and Rosgvardiya.
- The delegation will visit defense-industrial sites and lay flowers at the Monument to the Fallen Heroes, with a working stop in Laos expected later this week.
