'Shogun' Series to Premiere February 27 on Hulu, Star+ and Disney+

Set in 1600 Japan, the series follows Lord Yoshii Toranaga's fight for survival amidst political intrigue and a century-defining war.

FX's 'Shogun' series, based on James Clavell's novel, is set to premiere on February 27, 2024.
The series will debut on Hulu in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ in all other territories.
The story is set in Japan in the year 1600 and follows Lord Yoshii Toranaga, played by Hiroyuki Sanada, who must fight for his life against his enemies on the Council of Regents.
The fate of Toranaga becomes intertwined with the English pilot of a mysterious European ship, John Blackthorne, played by Cosmo Jarvis, and their translator, Toda Mariko, played by Anna Sawai.
The series is created for television by Rachel Kondo and Justin Marks, with Marks serving as showrunner and executive producer.
