Shiho Kuwaki and Nasa Hataoka Take Two-Stroke Lead in Second Round of Japan Classic

  • First-round leader Akie Iwai, after an opening round of 63, scored 69 on Friday losing her leading position.
  • Other contenders include China's Xiyu Lin and Japan's Mone Inami who are two strokes behind the leaders.
  • Despite some earlier shoulder discomfort, Lin managed to secure her eighth bogey-free round of the season.
  • Defending champion Gemma Dryburgh, after a score of 69, is now tied for 22nd place and six strokes behind at the Taiheiyo Club.
