Sherrie Westin Appointed CEO of Sesame Workshop

Westin becomes the first woman to lead the organization since its founding, taking over from interim CEO role.

Westin has been with Sesame Workshop since 1998, holding various leadership roles.
She previously served as President and interim CEO before her current appointment.
Westin led a $100 million early education initiative in the Middle East, supported by the MacArthur Foundation.
She succeeds Steve Youngwood, who stepped down earlier this year.
