Sheinelle Jones Named Permanent Co-Host of TODAY’s Fourth Hour With Jenna Bush Hager, Starting Jan. 12

NBC turns to a familiar face after months of “Jenna & Friends” tryouts.

Overview

  • The hour will be retitled TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle when Jones debuts on Jan. 12.
  • Jones will move from the 9 a.m. third hour to the 10 a.m. slot; Craig Melvin, Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer remain on the third hour.
  • The appointment ends nearly a year of rotating guest co-hosts that followed Hoda Kotb’s departure in January.
  • Jenna Bush Hager announced the decision live on air, calling Jones her “forever friend.”
  • Jones returned to TODAY in September after taking leave when her husband, Uche Ojeh, died in May, a journey she has openly shared with viewers.
