Sheinbaum Sets Sept. 1 Palacio Nacional Address for First Informe

The address will follow the post-2008 format that assigns the formal congressional delivery to the Interior Ministry, marking the first Informe led by a woman president.

Overview

  • Scheduled for Monday at 11:00 a.m. local time from Palacio Nacional, the message will stream live on the government’s Facebook, X and YouTube channels.
  • There will be no morning press conference that day, as the televised address replaces the regular Mañanera.
  • Interior Secretary Rosa Icela Rodríguez will deliver the written report to Congress in line with Article 69 and current protocol, and the president will not appear before the legislature.
  • The president plans to attend the swearing-in of the newly selected Supreme Court ministers that evening.
  • She ruled out inviting Andrés Manuel López Obrador to the Palacio event and said a separate public anniversary gathering is planned for Oct. 1.
