• After weeks without in‑person talks, Sheinbaum met at Palacio Nacional on Aug. 18 with Senate coordinator Adán Augusto López and Chamber leader Ricardo Monreal.
• Monreal said the president showed respect that he interpreted as ratifying López’s leadership in the Senate, and he ruled out changes to Morena’s legislative coordinations.
• Ignacio Mier, vicecoordinator in the Senate, attended and stated he will not become the new coordinator; Interior Secretary Rosa Icela Rodríguez was also present.
