Overview

  • Module XI includes the last-wait area for gates 29–36, the access corridor, passenger flow separation zones, and the vestibule for remote-bus transfers.
  • Works covered 6,400 square meters and preserved normal flight operations without affecting landings or takeoffs.
  • Improvements added granite flooring, baffle ceilings, tactile floor guides for low-vision users, LED lighting, roof waterproofing, upgraded and new restrooms, refreshed façades, and renewed electrical, hydraulic, data and CCTV systems.
  • The refurbishment was funded with 55.24 million pesos from the airport’s self-generated revenues, according to officials cited by Milenio.
  • Additional fronts are active in Terminal 1’s Bravo pre-wait area and in Terminal 2’s connecting corridor, checkpoint M, floors, sanitary cores and façades, with drainage solutions coordinated across the Navy, SICT, Conagua and AFAC.
