Overview
- The highway includes 10 bridges, a tunnel, two interchanges, multiple underpasses and overpasses, and a toll plaza.
- It is expected to carry about 6,400 vehicles per day and reduce the Tepic–Compostela trip by roughly 35 minutes.
- The road will operate without tolls until January 8, 2026.
- The link complements SICT’s corridor with prior sections Jala–Compostela and Ramal a Compostela (2018) and Compostela–Las Varas (2024), improving connectivity with Jalisco.
- Sheinbaum announced plans to extend the corridor toward Las Varas–Platanitos and San Blas.
