Overview
- The first phase runs August 19–23 with more than 15 million pieces of medicines and supplies moving on 1,006 routes to over 8,000 units.
- Each kit draws on 147 essential items and is sized to monthly demand per clinic, with packages described at about 1,900 pieces for typical centers.
- In CDMX, 24 routes will deliver over one million medicines, while Sinaloa will supply 209 centers with roughly 233,000–234,000 pieces and Michoacán will cover 529 delivery points via 15 routes.
- The rollout is coordinated by IMSS-Bienestar with the Health Ministry, Birmex and 23 state governments, which joined a national flag-off event.
- The same delivery model is scheduled to begin for hospitals next week, as officials report 96% of medicines purchased and 300,000 oncology pieces shipped last week.
