Overview
- The first 10 repaving trains were delivered, with two units already working overnight on the Texcoco–Ecatepec and Texcoco–Los Reyes stretches in the State of Mexico from 22:00 to 04:00.
- The fleet represents a 1,692 million peso investment for 30 trains, and the initial tranche comprises 152 machines including 22 milling units, 28 asphalt distributors, 30 metal rollers, 30 pneumatic compactors, 30 feeders, 6 reclaimers and 6 padfoot rollers.
- SICT plans roughly 15–17 billion pesos for conservation across about 48,000 to 52,000 kilometers of the federal network, with officials projecting around 37,000 jobs.
- Equipment rollouts begin with deliveries to states such as Aguascalientes, Baja California Sur, Campeche, Colima, Chihuahua, Guerrero, Jalisco and Veracruz, with additional blocks slated this year and a goal of one train per state by the end of next year through 2026 purchases.
- The program prioritizes structural rehabilitation over surface-only fixes and includes a commitment to restore roughly 1,000 kilometers of southeastern roads affected during Tren Maya construction.
