• ISSSTE said outpatient consultations at the new Regional High‑Specialty Hospital in Acapulco will begin on August 25, with emergency, laboratories, blood bank and operating rooms opening in the following weeks.
• Claudia Sheinbaum inaugurated the first stage of the Acapulco facility and indicated the hospital is expected to reach full operation within two months.
• Earlier, she made an off‑schedule visit to the IMSS‑Bienestar General Hospital in Tlapa, which serves La Montaña, was built with more than 2,200 million pesos and has over 40 medical specialists.
• Local reports described a partial handover of the Acapulco complex, and Sheinbaum and Governor Evelyn Salgado left Tlapa by helicopter to bypass a road blockade.
