Sheinbaum Inaugurates Two Donated ISSSTE Clinics in Tecámac, Expanding Beds and Operating Rooms

The openings highlight a drive to strengthen public health by channeling resources away from past private medical perks for officials.

Overview

  • President Claudia Sheinbaum opened the ISSSTE clinics Juana Belén Gutiérrez Chávez and Héroes Tecámac in the State of Mexico municipality.
  • Built by Tecámac and donated to ISSSTE, the facilities were formally acknowledged by director Martí Batres along with local authorities.
  • ISSSTE reported the additions lift capacity to 10 general consultories, 10 specialty consultories, 20 censable beds and three operating rooms.
  • The units will provide services from general care to telemedicine, gynecology, traumatology, gastroenterology and surgery for about 100,000 beneficiaries.
  • Sheinbaum alleged 90 million pesos were spent on social‑media campaigns against her and reiterated unity with Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the movement.
