Overview

• The visit runs October 5–7 at the invitation of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, with bilateral talks in Kuala Lumpur.
• Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with federal ministers and senior officials, will accompany Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
• Discussions will span trade, IT, telecom, the halal industry, investment, education, energy, infrastructure, the digital economy and people-to-people ties.
• The two leaders are expected to witness the signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding across several areas of cooperation.
• Talks will also cover regional and global developments and reaffirm commitments to peace, stability, trade, investment and sustainable development.
