  • Emergency services were called to Jackson Heights Road, Belthorn, at about 8:39pm on September 22 after a blue Vauxhall Corsa left the carriageway and came to rest down an embankment.
  • The driver, named by police as Liam Bracken, 17, from Bolton, was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • Four teenage passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries, were taken to hospital for treatment, and have since been discharged.
  • Liam’s family remembered him as a kind and driven teenager who had secured an engineering apprenticeship and was dedicated to health and fitness.
