Overview

  • SharkNinja has recalled more than 2 million Ninja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers sold from 2019 to 2025 in the U.S. and Canada.
  • The recall addresses a safety defect where the lid can be opened while the cooker is under pressure, causing hot contents to spew out and pose burn risks.
  • There have been 106 reported burn injuries in the U.S., with over 50 cases involving second- or third-degree burns to the face or body.
  • Consumers are advised to stop using the pressure-cooking function immediately and contact SharkNinja for a free replacement lid; other functions, like air frying, remain safe to use.
  • The affected cookers were sold at major retailers including Walmart, Costco, Amazon, and Target, with about 1.85 million units sold in the U.S. and 184,000 in Canada.
