• O’Neal appeared unannounced during the school’s Our Big Pledge Challenge, playing games and urging students to embrace strength, purpose, and perseverance.
• He joined 2,500 students and staff in signing a commitment wall as part of the schoolwide values initiative.
• “Hershey showed up with heart today,” he said, telling students they have “greatness in them” when they believe in themselves and put in the work.
• Later at Hersheypark, he took Milton Hershey School students to preview the Shaq-A-Licious Laff Trakk coaster overlay featuring his voiceover and recorded an episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq.
• School president Peter G. Gurt said O’Neal’s message reinforced the institution’s mission, as O’Neal rounded out the day as keynote speaker at the PA Chamber Annual Dinner.
