Despite the cancer having spread to her brain and bones, Doherty remains hopeful and positive, stating that every day is a gift and she is not done with living, loving, or creating.
Doherty's radiation oncologist, Dr. Amin Mirhadi, has seen similar cancers defeated before, even ones that are typically terminal.
