Overview
- On Saturday, Oct. 4, at Austin’s Zilker Park, Sabrina Carpenter’s ACL headlining set featured a surprise duet with Shania Twain on the 1998 hit “That Don’t Impress Me Much.”
- Before bringing Twain onstage, Carpenter told the crowd she wanted to give them “a little gift tonight,” introducing “the one and only Shania Twain.”
- After the performance, both artists celebrated on Instagram, with Twain posting, “It’s like Loretta and Dolly except it’s SHANIA & SABRINA,” and Carpenter calling it the “crowd of my dreams.”
- The collaboration follows their December 2024 acoustic “Santa Baby” on Carpenter’s Netflix special and Carpenter’s prior tour cover of Twain’s song.
- Reports differed on the live crowd’s reaction, with one outlet describing it as muted, as Carpenter moves to a Grand Ole Opry debut on Oct. 7 and returns to ACL on Oct. 11.
