Shams Mulani Recognized for Stellar Performance in Ranji Trophy, Selected for India A Side

Despite Mumbai's recent defeat, Mulani maintains form and praises leadership of skipper Ajinkya Rahane.

Shams Mulani, a left-arm spinner from Mumbai, has been recognized for his stellar performance in the 2021/22 Ranji Trophy season, winning the Lala Amarnath Award for the best all-rounder and the Madhavrao Scindia award for being the highest wicket-taker.
Mulani has praised the leadership of Mumbai skipper Ajinkya Rahane, and has himself led the team in Rahane's absence due to injury.
Mulani was part of the Rest of India team that won the Irani Trophy against Saurashtra, and has spoken about the valuable experience gained from sharing the dressing room with other star players.
Despite Mumbai's recent defeat to Uttar Pradesh, Mulani has maintained his form with 19 wickets from just four games in the 2023/24 Ranji Trophy.
Mulani has been selected for the India A side that will play the third unofficial Test against the England Lions in Ahmedabad beginning on February 1.
