Shah Vows To Hunt Down Delhi Blast Culprits as NIA Arrests Suspect in Red Fort Case

The NIA leads the Nov. 10 Red Fort metro car-bombing case that killed 15 people.

  • At the Northern Zonal Council meeting in Faridabad, Home Minister Amit Shah pledged to pursue the attackers “even from the depths of the netherworld” and secure the strictest punishment.
  • The NIA said it arrested alleged co-conspirator Jasir Bilal Wani, also known as Danish, in Srinagar in connection with the car bombing.
  • Investigators have examined 73 witnesses so far and are coordinating with Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh police to map the wider plot.
  • The Union cabinet has officially labeled the Nov. 10 explosion a “heinous terror attack” and reiterated that those responsible will face severe legal consequences.
  • The council observed a two-minute silence to honor victims of the Red Fort blast and those killed in the Nowgam Police Station explosion.
