• Shah Rukh Khan won his first National Film Award for Best Actor with his dual-role performance in Jawan after more than three decades in the industry.
• Rani Mukerji received her first-ever National Award for Best Actress for Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, marking a milestone in her 30-year career.
• Vikrant Massey shared the Best Actor accolade with Khan for 12th Fail, which was also named Best Feature Film of the year.
• Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani earned the award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment while Sam Bahadur was honoured for promoting national, social and environmental values.
• The Directorate of Film Festivals announced the winners on August 1 in New Delhi and the President of India will formally present the awards at a later date.
