Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff Summoned Over Misleading Pan Masala Ad

The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Jaipur has issued notices to Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff, and JB Industries, the manufacturer of Vimal Pan Masala.
The complaint alleges that the advertisement falsely claims the product contains saffron, despite its low price making such inclusion implausible.
Petitioner Yogendra Singh Badiyal argues that the misleading ad encourages harmful consumption of pan masala, which is linked to serious health risks like cancer.
The summons requires the actors and the company to respond and appear before the commission on March 19, with potential ex parte decisions if they fail to comply.
The petitioner has demanded a ban on the advertisement and the product, citing public health concerns and deceptive marketing practices.
