Overview
- At New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan, Amit Shah opened the two-day international conference organised by NAFCUB under the Ministry of Cooperation with participation from NUCFDC.
- NUCFDC’s Sahakar DigiPay is a centralized UPI switch with fraud detection, while Sahakar DigiLoan is a loan-origination system featuring digital KYC and automated credit assessment.
- Shah set targets to onboard 1,500 cooperative banks to the new platforms within two years and to establish at least one urban cooperative bank in every city above two lakh population within five years.
- The Cooperation Ministry cited UCB NPAs declining to 0.6% from 2.8% over two years, with roughly 1,400-plus banks serving about 9 crore customers through nearly 11,500 branches.
- Delegates are slated to adopt the “Delhi Declaration 2025 — Roadmap to 2030” at the conference close to guide governance, capital strength, risk management and digital inclusion.
