Overview

• Amit Shah approved an advance release of Rs 1,950.80 crore as the second instalment of the Centre’s SDRF share for 2025–26.
• Allocation breakdown: Rs 384.40 crore for Karnataka and Rs 1,566.40 crore for Maharashtra to support immediate relief for flood-hit communities.
• Cumulative 2025–26 releases include Rs 13,603.20 crore under SDRF to 27 states and Rs 2,189.28 crore under NDRF to 15 states, according to the Home Ministry.
• Mitigation funding this fiscal totals Rs 4,571.30 crore from the SDMF to 21 states and Rs 372.09 crore from the NDMF to nine states.
• Operational support has featured a peak of 199 NDRF teams across 30 states/UTs with Army and Air Force assistance, while an HLC earlier cleared Rs 707.97 crore for Assam and Gujarat and Rs 903.67 crore for fire-service upgrades in Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
