SFPD Posts Suspect Images, Offers $50,000 Reward in 2024 Killing of Wheelchair User

Investigators are seeking the public’s help to identify the person shown in new photos tied to the Mission District homicide.

  • The department released a bulletin with images of a young man with black hair, glasses and red-and-white gloves labeled as an “unknown suspect.”
  • The reward is $50,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of those responsible for Keith Albert’s death.
  • Albert, 32, was found around 5 a.m. on Aug. 5, 2024 at 20th and Shotwell with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • Police say the shooting may be connected to a robbery earlier that morning at Ed & Danny’s Market & Liquor at 21st and South Van Ness, a link that remains unconfirmed.
