- East Bridgewater police said the newly filed counts stem from photos depicting women and children who were nude and unaware they were being photographed.
- Investigators reported 17 counts of unlawful photographing, two counts of posing or exhibiting a child in nudity or sexual conduct, and two counts of possessing child pornography.
- The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office High Tech Evidence Analysis Team conducted the cellphone examination that uncovered the additional images.
- Abidan Rivera, 43, was arrested March 2 at his Middleborough workplace and pleaded guilty in May to the initial charge, and he is incarcerated at the Plymouth County Correctional Facility.
- Rivera is a registered Level 2 sex offender with prior convictions for open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior, and Chief Michael Jenkins publicly commended Detective Cecelia Cacciatore for her investigative work.
