  • More than 90,000 Xcel Energy customers remained without electricity Tuesday morning, with the heaviest outages in Ramsey, Washington and Hennepin counties.
  • The utility restored over 85% of the initial outages by Monday afternoon and has more than 1,000 workers and contractors in the field.
  • Wind gusts of 55–65 mph in the Twin Cities and up to 74 mph in Kasson and 70 mph in Rochester toppled large trees and downed power lines.
  • Residents spent Tuesday clearing fallen trees and debris under mostly sunny skies and light north winds across Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
  • Xcel Energy urged customers to stay away from downed or sagging power lines and to report hazards by calling 1-800-895-1999.
