Seventeen’s Hoshi and Woozi Enter Active-Duty Service as Group Adjusts Tour Lineup

The group maintains momentum through a nine-member tour plus pre-recorded content during staggered service.

Overview

  • Woozi enlisted on Sept. 15 and Hoshi followed on Sept. 16, with Pledis confirming both will serve as active-duty soldiers after basic training.
  • Pledis did not disclose training camp locations and cited a standard five-week basic course, while Hoshi told fans his training will run seven weeks due to the Chuseok holiday overlap.
  • Hoshi released a surprise solo track, Take A Shot, at 6 p.m. on his enlistment day, a rage-based hip-hop song that he helped write, according to the agency.
  • The Northern Gyeonggi branch of the Gyeonggi Community Chest said Hoshi donated 100 million won to improve classrooms at Mansansa Public School in Ndola, Zambia.
  • Nine members — S. Coups, Joshua, Jun, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino — will continue the ‘New_’ world tour with scheduled stops in China, the United States and Japan.
