SEVENTEEN’s CxM Debuts at No. 71 on Billboard 200, Breaking K-Pop Sub-Unit Record

Powered by 13,000 largely pure sales, the S. Coups–Mingyu duo also opens top five on Top Album Sales, with a No. 1 bow on Emerging Artists.

Overview

  • CxM’s debut EP Hype Vibes enters the Billboard 200 at No. 71 for the week ending Oct. 25, according to Luminate.
  • The entry marks the highest placement ever for a K-pop sub-unit on the Billboard 200, surpassing Girls’ Generation–TTS’s Twinkle, which peaked at No. 126 in 2012.
  • The release posts nearly all consumption from album purchases, opening at No. 5 on Top Album Sales and No. 2 on World Albums.
  • The project also sends CxM to No. 1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart and to a debut at No. 43 on the Artist 100.
  • Comprising SEVENTEEN members S. COUPS and MINGYU, CxM released the EP digitally on Sept. 29 and physically on Oct. 10 via PLEDIS/Geffen/Interscope/Capitol, extending the group’s pattern of successful sub-unit activity alongside BSS, HxW and JxW.
