Overview
- V8, the new Seventeen subunit of The8 and Vernon, released their self-titled eight-track EP 'V8' on Monday led by the single "singasong".
- The duo first unveiled the tracks at a prelistening party on Sunday where The8 DJed and fans responded enthusiastically to the record’s club‑inspired electronic sound.
- Both members say they were directly involved across songwriting, production and mixing and that The8 contributed ideas for the music video.
- The album credits collaborations with international producers including Pharrell Williams, Mechatok, Kirara and Dylan Brady and blends English, Mandarin and Korean lyrics.
- V8 will perform standalone concerts in Goyang on July 11–12 and in Hong Kong July 17–19, and the release doubles as Vernon’s final project before his scheduled military enlistment.
