Overview
- Hurricane Florence made landfall at Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, on Sept. 14, 2018 after twice reaching Category 4 strength and weakening to Category 1.
- More than 30 inches of rain fell in parts of North Carolina, and Loris, South Carolina, set a state tropical-rainfall record with 23.63 inches.
