Overview

• Around 2 a.m. on Saturday, a vehicle drove by a graduation party outside St. Sabina Church in Auburn Gresham and opened fire, wounding seven teenagers aged 17 to 19, one of whom remains in serious condition.
• No suspects are in custody and detectives continue their probe after recovering a rifle beneath a car and multiple shell casings at the scene.
• Rev. Michael Pfleger condemned the attack as a personal assault on the church’s mission and urged parents to monitor their children’s whereabouts and for youths to reject gun culture.
• The church has stepped up security patrols and is distributing flyers throughout the neighborhood while offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the gunman’s arrest.
