Overview

• In a holiday-shortened week, seven of the ten most valued firms added a combined Rs 74,573.63 crore to their market capitalisation.
• HDFC Bank led with a Rs 30,106.28 crore rise, lifting its valuation to about Rs 14.81 lakh crore, while LIC jumped Rs 20,587.87 crore to roughly Rs 5.72 lakh crore.
• State Bank of India increased by Rs 9,276.77 crore and Hindustan Unilever by Rs 7,859.38 crore, with ICICI Bank up Rs 3,108.17 crore, Bajaj Finance up Rs 2,893.45 crore, and TCS up Rs 741.71 crore.
• Reliance Industries shed Rs 19,351.44 crore, Bharti Airtel lost Rs 12,031.45 crore, and Infosys declined by Rs 850.32 crore in market value.
