Seven of India’s Most Valued Firms Add Rs 1.06 Lakh Crore in Weekly Gains

Financials led the week’s advance, with IT plus FMCG retreating.

  • Bajaj Finance added Rs 37,960.96 crore in market value, the largest weekly rise among the top 10, followed by Reliance Industries at Rs 23,343.51 crore.
  • HDFC Bank gained Rs 17,580.42 crore and LIC rose Rs 15,559.49 crore, while SBI, Bharti Airtel and ICICI Bank posted smaller increases.
  • TCS lost Rs 13,007.02 crore, Infosys fell Rs 10,427.47 crore and Hindustan Unilever declined Rs 6,296.91 crore over the week.
  • The pecking order of the top-valued firms was unchanged, with Reliance remaining the most valuable company ahead of HDFC Bank and TCS.
  • On Friday, the Sensex closed down 7.25 points at 80,710.76 and the Nifty finished up 6.70 points at 24,741 after a volatile session with sector-specific swings.
