Seven Indian Firms Bid to Build AMCA Stealth Fighter as DRDO Panel Begins Evaluation

A high-level panel will now shortlist partners for Rs 15,000 crore in prototype work.

The first prototype is expected to make its maiden flight in 2029, and Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA)’s development is likely to be completed by 2034 before it enters production a year later.
