Seven Dead, Seven Injured in Fatal Truck-Van Collision in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras

A head-on collision between a truck and a van in Hathras district, Uttar Pradesh, killed seven people and injured seven others on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased included three men, three women, and a child, all from the same family traveling to Etah in a pickup van.
The accident took place around 2 PM near Jaitpur village on the Mathura-Kasganj road, with the cause of the collision still under investigation.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences and announced ₹2 lakh compensation for each victim's family and ₹50,000 for the seriously injured.
Injured victims were referred to a higher medical facility in Aligarh for treatment, and relief operations have been expedited by district authorities.
