Series of Earthquakes, Including 6.4M, Shake Vancouver Island

A swarm of quakes has been detected off the coast of British Columbia, with no immediate damage reported.

A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck off Vancouver Island at 8:08 a.m. PT, followed by quakes of 4.3 and 4.9 magnitudes.
Earthquakes Canada has recorded 12 quakes in the region since the start of July, several exceeding 5.0 magnitude.
The quakes occurred at the intersection of the Juan de Fuca Ridge, Sovanco Fracture Zone, and Nootka Fault Zone.
Experts highlight that while these quakes pose no immediate risk, they serve as a reminder of the region's seismic activity.
