Overview

  • Tijana Radonjic, a 19-year-old Serbian model, fell roughly 50 metres into the Adriatic Sea on May 28 after unbuckling her harness mid-air during a promotional parasailing shoot in Budva.
  • The parasailing company asserts she underwent proper training and showed no fear before takeoff.
  • Eyewitnesses said they heard her screaming “put me down” moments before she undid her waist belt and plunged into the water.
  • Radonjic’s family has rejected any implication of deliberate self-harm and is calling for a full investigation.
  • Montenegrin authorities have launched technical inspections of the equipment and are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of the accident.
